I truly believe that
the future is with youngsters who have ideas to bring change. But money,
knowledge of business management, operations and technical nuances are at
dearth. To get hold of one, the other is already required. Here is where SSM
comes in as a catapult with management experience, network of experts and
funding to thrust forth those with right ideas from motivated minds that is
overwhelming with energy, eagerness and a fire to make it into a successful
reality.

How we help
We invest in companies which are likely to succeed without our help. Our goal is to provide assistance that helps increase the probability, scale and pace of that success. We tap into our network in the field of technology, management, administration, operation and finance.
We focus our
energies in three distinct areas critical to a company’s success throughout its
existence:
·
Product design boils
down to assisting with everything needed to get to product-market fit: defining
the problem, focusing the solution, acquiring customers, delivering a “wow”
first experience, testing and iterating, and identifying how to scale customers
and revenue.
·
Organizational design,
which tends to be where startups underinvest, includes establishing recruiting
and onboarding processes, creating and modifying organizational structure and
defining culture and core values.
·
Business strategy encompasses
the areas outside of product, engineering and design that are required for
market success, including distribution, pricing, partnerships and fundraising.
2.
Who do we invest in?
We classify the
business into two major categories:
·
Innovation: Something original, new,
and important—in whatever field—that breaks in to (or obtains a foothold in) a
market or society
·
Customary: Something that customary and
important—in whatever field—that breaks in to (or obtains a foothold in) a
market or society by introducing a change
or targeting a different customer or purpose
We equally prefer both innovation and customary business. But we do not invest in customary businesses where we do not have a distinctive, easily-non-replicable advantage over competitors. We neither want to take heads on with Google or for that nor invest in yet another website building company.
I
am personally passionate about any engineering technologies especially in
software technology, agriculture, rural development and energy savings.
We
invest in mission-driven founders who embrace big ideas and refine it with deep
thought process, big impact, big risk. Most importantly, we invest in teams
that we hope to spend time with and support now and again in the future. We
look for founders that have a passion and unique insight into solving a
specific problem. We appreciate an orientation towards data and using it to
question and change assumptions. We value integrity, focus, flexibility and a
relentless will to succeed. We want leaders who collaborate, inspire and take
time to celebrate the small victories. We invest in people who we would want to
work for or have on our teams.
My
definition of a Leader is a person with a mission, who attracts resources and
uses or motivates them with passion, has unaltered focus, relentless will and
energy to realize the mission into reality.
A child who wants chocolate form parents is a leader for that activity. One’s age, designation and educational
qualification do not define their Leadership.
